DESCRIPTION
The Black Diamond Spinner Leash is a technical leash for ice axes designed for those tackling mixed routes, ice falls, and demanding mountaineering where losing the tool is not an option, but freedom of wrist movement remains a priority.
Construction and Technology
The system is based on a rotating mechanism (spinner) that eliminates annoying cable tangles during repeated piolet movements, allowing for smoother tool management even in extended technical sequences. The cable is made of high-resistance material with adjustable extension, longer than previous versions to adapt to different arm shapes and climbing styles. The ends are equipped with auto-locking carabiners, which ensure quick and secure attachment to both the ice axe and the harness or wrist, reducing the risk of accidental detachment.
Main Features
- Integrated anti-tangle rotating mechanism
- Reduced weight compared to the previous generation, without compromising strength
- Carabiners with auto-locking closure at both ends
- Extended length for maximum wrist freedom of movement
- Compatible with most technical ice and mixed ice axes
It is the right solution for those who want to climb without the rigid constraint of a traditional leash, while maintaining the security of not losing the ice axe in case of error on exposed terrain.
