Black Diamond AXE Protector
Black Diamond AXE Protector - Orange is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
DESCRIPTION
The Black Diamond AXE Protector is an ice axe head protector designed to ensure safety during transport and storage of the tool. When traveling to the wall or stowing equipment in a backpack, the picks and adzes of ice axes pose a real risk: to oneself, to climbing partners, and to other gear. This protector solves the problem simply and effectively.
Construction and Compatibility
Made from rigid, impact-resistant material, the AXE Protector securely clips onto the ice axe head, covering both the pick and the sharp edge of the adze. The attachment system is designed to keep the protector in place even during transport in a backpack or car, without slipping or accidentally shifting. It is compatible with the Black Diamond range of ice axes and ice tools, making it a natural complementary accessory for those who already use the brand's equipment.
When and Why to Use It
- Transport in a backpack or luggage during approach transfers
- Secure storage at home or in a mountain hut to protect the tip from damage
- Protection of other materials in the backpack from accidental scratches and punctures
- Increased safety in case of a fall or impact of the tool during handling
An essential accessory for those who want to keep their ice axes in optimal condition and move safely even off the wall.
- Mountaineering
