DESCRIPTION
The CAMP Neve is an ice axe designed for snow and glacier excursions where safety depends on the quality of the tool in hand. The head is made of forged steel with a slender profile that facilitates grip during self-arrest maneuvers and step cutting on steep slopes.
Construction and materials
The shaft is designed to ensure a secure grip even with thick gloves, thanks to its carefully crafted geometry that reduces fatigue during prolonged use. The steel pick maintains an optimal angle for effectively penetrating compacted ice, while the adze allows for stable steps even on hard snow. Its light weight makes the ice axe suitable for long days without weighing down equipment.
Use and ideal context
- Glacier excursions on moderately inclined slopes
- Traverses on spring snow where self-arrest is a fundamental skill
- Classic alpine approaches that do not require technical or dry tooling ice axes
The CAMP Neve is the correct choice for those who regularly tackle glacial terrain and seek a reliable, balanced, and versatile tool, without excessive technical complexity. Compatible with 12-point crampons for full glacier outings.
- Mountaineering
