DESCRIPTION

The La Sportiva Prodigio Hike Woman GTX shoes are born from the intersection of the lightness of trail running shoes and the stability required for demanding hiking. Designed for those who cover long elevation gains quickly, they meet the needs of speed hiking without sacrificing protection in the variable weather conditions typical of high mountains.

Construction and materials

The High Tenacity Mesh upper guarantees high abrasion resistance while keeping weight down, while the GORE-TEX ePE Extended Comfort membrane — based on recycled polyethylene — ensures certified waterproofing and superior breathability compared to previous generation GORE-TEX membranes, reducing the risk of overheating during prolonged efforts. The result is dry feet both in case of rain and during the most sustained climbs.

Performance on the terrain

  • The Vibram Megagrip sole offers reliable grip on wet rock and mixed terrain, with a tread pattern suitable for technical traverses
  • The progressive cushioning system protects joints during long descents without hindering step response
  • The anatomical female fit precisely supports the heel, reducing internal slippage on gradient changes
  • The low profile promotes responsiveness and ground perception, a fundamental feature for maintaining high speeds on trails

This is the right shoe for those who tackle multi-hour outings on varied terrain, from alpine valleys to alpine ridges, looking for footwear that does not compromise between speed and safety.
