The Ortovox Traverse 40 is a 40-liter hiking backpack specifically developed for demanding alpine terrain, where material durability and prolonged carrying comfort make a difference. The main body features an outer fabric made from 75% recycled polyamide, designed to withstand abrasion from rocks, branches, and abrasive surfaces without compromising long-term structural integrity.
Sustainability integrated into the materials
Approximately 70% of the fabrics used in the construction of the Traverse 40 feature Solution Dyed technology, a mass-dyeing process that incorporates the pigment directly into the yarn before weaving. This approach significantly reduces water consumption and chemical impact compared to traditional dyeing processes, without compromising color fastness over time. A significant portion of the fabrics is also undyed, further eliminating chemical processing steps.
