DESCRIPTION
The Dynafit Free 97 is a freeride ski designed for those who do not want to compromise between lightness on the ascent and performance on the descent. With a waist width of 97 mm, it sits in the all-mountain freeride segment, capable of floating on fresh snow and maintaining control on packed off-piste snow without weighing down the stride during the ascent.
Construction and technology
The core is made of 100% poplar, a wood appreciated for its optimal weight-to-responsiveness ratio. Integrated into the longitudinal structure are the Dynafit Carbon Speed Stringers, carbon fiber reinforcements that stiffen the ski in the direction of travel, reducing parasitic flex during the push, while simultaneously lightening the overall weight. The result is a ski that responds precisely to the turn initiation without requiring excessive force.
Geometry and snow performance
- Front and rear rocker geometry combined with a cambered waist for on-piste handling
- 3D-shaped tip & tail profile to reduce weight at the ends and improve maneuverability in mixed conditions
- Excellent float on fresh and powdery snow thanks to the widened tip geometry
