DESCRIPTION
The Scarpa 4-Quattro SL was born from the need for a single boot capable of covering two distinct worlds: groomed slopes and uphill off-piste skiing. With a weight of approximately 1,490 g per boot (size 27), it stands out as the lightest hybrid ski touring boot in its compatibility category, offering a practical solution for those who do not want to compromise on downhill performance or uphill lightness.
Construction and compatibility
The structure is made of high-stiffness Grilamid, a technical polyamide that ensures efficient power transfer on descents while keeping weight down. The GripWalk sole ensures compatibility with both alpine ski bindings (GripWalk/MN standard) and all major tech ski touring bindings, eliminating the need for two separate pairs of boots. The thermoformable inner boot adapts anatomically to the foot, reducing pressure points during long outings.
Mobility and uphill performance
- Walk mode with ample leg shaft freedom of movement for a natural walking gait on mixed terrain
- Flex index 100, balanced between downhill control and uphill comfort
- Closure with 4 aluminum buckles and an integrated gaiter for quick and secure fastening
- Sole with high-traction rubber compound, also suitable for rocky or icy sections
