DESCRIPTION

The La Sportiva Sender is designed for those who don't compromise between ascent and descent: a freeride ski touring boot that handles challenging elevation gains without sacrificing fresh snow performance. The freedom of movement in ski tour mode is ample and tangible, making long ascents on steep terrain less burdensome and translating saved energy into control on the first tracks.

Construction and Materials

The structure combines a two-component polyurethane shell with targeted reinforcements that ensure torsional rigidity on descents and flexibility during walking. The thermoformable inner liner adapts to the anatomy of the foot, reducing pressure points even on longer outings. The overall design keeps the weight down, a crucial factor when vertical meters accumulate.

Technical Features

  • Compatibility with tech and pin bindings for maximum versatility in setup choice
  • Vibram IBS rubber sole for secure grip on rock and ice during foot approaches
  • Walk mode with wide ankle articulation to reduce muscle fatigue on ascents
  • Four aluminum buckles with micrometric closure for precise and stable fastening
  • Adjustable rear lever to adapt the flex on descent to snow conditions

The Sender is aimed at ski mountaineers who frequent challenging freeride terrain and want a boot capable of responding with reactivity on steep lines, without turning every ascent into a survival exercise.
