DESCRIPTION
The Hawx Ultra XTD 110 BOA is Atomic's freeride ski touring boot designed for those who are not satisfied with just one side of the mountain: it performs excellently both descending on groomed snow and approaching on alpine terrain, without one compromising the other. The 110 flex index places this boot in the medium-stiff range, sufficient to control a freeride ski with precision but progressive enough not to fatigue on long ascents.
Construction and materials
The shell is made of Prolite, a lightweight polyamide structured with selective reinforcements in the areas under the greatest stress — front edge, instep area and lateral ankle support — keeping the weight within the limits of modern ski touring. The GripWalk (GW) compatibility guarantees a sole with a rounded heel and a flexible front area, which restores a natural gait on flat ground and allows the mounting of GripWalk/MNC bindings without adapters. The closure is entrusted to the BOA Fit System, which replaces the traditional micro-regulator with a progressive tension dial: the adjustment is fast, precise and possible even with gloves.
Ski and walk modes
- Wide walk mode range, suitable for climbs with significant elevation gain and sections of approach on trails
- Ergonomic ski/walk switch, operable without taking off the boot
- 3D anatomical footbed with arch support to reduce fatigue on the ascent
- Compatible with insert ski touring bindings and alpine bindings on an adapter plate
It is the concrete choice for the skier who wants a single boot for day-long off-piste excursions, avoiding the compromise between a too-soft touring boot and a piste boot unsuitable for walking.
Fit
Measurements in Mondopoint (MP): the number corresponds to the length of the foot in centimeters (e.g. 27 = 27/27.5). Measure the foot from heel to big toe, standing up and with a ski sock, and choose the corresponding size; in case of doubt, write to us before ordering.
