DESCRIPTION
The Petzl Irvis Flexlock are 10-point crampons designed for mixed terrain: from the firm snow of high-altitude hiking to the ice of classic mountaineering, and even demanding ski touring outings. The geometry of the points ensures good stability both when progressing on hard snow and maintaining grip on icy surfaces, without compromising the overall weight of the system.
Attachment system and compatibility
The Flexlock version features a rigid front fork attachment and a rear system with a flush gaiter, compatible with boots equipped with a rear semi-canti but without a front canti. This makes them suitable for a wide range of technical mountaineering and ski touring footwear. The central connection bar is length-adjustable to adapt to different boot sizes, while the anti-snow crampons made of polymer prevent snow from accumulating under the sole, a critical factor on snowy and wet terrain.
Materials and technical specifications
- Structure in stainless steel for corrosion resistance and long-lasting durability
- 10 points with an optimized layout for front and lateral traction
- Lightweight, suitable for prolonged use at altitude
- Compatible with B1/B2 boots with a rear semi-canti
- Includes a carrying bag for secure storage in a backpack
A balanced choice for those looking for versatile and reliable crampons, capable of covering a wide range of outings without the bulk of more specialized solutions.
