DESCRIPTION
The Edelrid HMPE Cord Sling is a loop of HMPE (High Modulus Polyethylene) cord with a 6 mm diameter and 90 cm length, designed for those who need a lightweight and extremely strong connection element in their climbing or mountaineering gear.
Material and technical performance
HMPE fiber, also known as Dyneema or Spectra, is one of the synthetic fibers with the best strength-to-weight ratio available on the market. This translates into a cord with a very high breaking strength despite the reduced thickness of 6 mm, maintaining a low weight that makes it ideal for lightweight mountaineering and trad climbing. The thin diameter allows it to be easily inserted into narrow cracks and natural protection.
Use and versatility
With its 90 cm length, the loop is suitable for multiple uses: building anchors, anchoring to rock horns, setting up protection on nuts and blocks, or as an extension for cords already present on the harness.
