Black Diamond Infinity Cord - 120 cm

DESCRIPTION

The Black Diamond Infinity Cord reinterprets the concept of mountaineering slings with an innovative construction solution: instead of the classic sewn splice, the cord is made by continuously wrapping Dynex filaments around a core, eliminating any structural weak points and creating a closed, uninterrupted loop.

Construction and Technical Performance

The seamless continuous weave ensures uniform load distribution throughout the entire length of the cord, increasing overall strength compared to traditional sewn models. Dynex — a high-strength fiber with characteristics similar to Dyneema — maintains a low weight and compact size, making the Infinity Cord easy to pack in a backpack or attach to a harness. The 120 cm length makes it versatile for extending quickdraws on alpine walls, building belays, and organizing complex anchor systems.

Use and Practical Advantages

• Ideal for extending belays and quickdraws on alpine and climbing routes
• The seamless structure eliminates the critical wear points typical of traditional slings
• Very compact and lightweight, it unties easily even with cold hands or gloves
• Compatible with standard and HMS carabiners for maximum versatility at belay stations

For those looking for a cord to always carry with them — whether at the crag or in the mountains — without compromising on strength and structural reliability, the Infinity Cord represents a concrete and well-thought-out technical choice.
