Contour Tail Hook Set
Contour Tail Hook Set - Black is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
DESCRIPTION
The Contour Tail Hook Set is a set of tail hooks designed to anchor the rear ends of ski skins to the ski tail, completing the attachment system and preventing the skin from lifting during uphill progression.
Construction and Compatibility
The hooks are made of material resistant to mechanical stress and alpine conditions, with a geometry that adapts to various ski tail shapes. The hooking system maintains constant tension on the skin, ensuring contact between the adhesive material and the ski surface even on irregular or icy snow, or on steep slopes. The simplicity of the mechanism allows for quick installation and removal of the hooks, even with gloves on.
When to Replace It
The Contour Tail Hook Set is the ideal replacement when the original hooks show signs of wear, deformation, or loss of tension. An efficient tail hook is essential to prevent the skin from partially detaching during ascents, a situation that compromises traction and forces interruptions to reposition the skin. Maintaining the integrity of the attachment components is one of the simplest yet most crucial maintenance tasks to ensure reliability on every ski touring trip.
