DESCRIPTION
The Contour Race 62 mm are competitive ski touring skins sold by the metre, designed for those seeking maximum race performance without compromising on reliability in variable conditions. Their 62 mm width makes them suitable for narrow competition skis, while the roll format allows you to cut the exact length required for your equipment.
Material and performance
The pile is made of pure mohair, the natural fibre that offers the fastest glide available on the ski touring skin market. Compared to synthetic blends, mohair provides significantly less resistance when gliding on flat terrain, a decisive factor on false flats and descents with skins where every tenth of a second counts. The grip remains effective on regular slopes when climbing, but choosing pure mohair requires awareness: this material is ideal on transformed and compact snow, but performs less effectively on heavy, wet snow.
Attachment system and compatibility
- Tip attachment compatible with all race skis equipped with a notch
- Tip shaping that conforms to the ski's geometry to eliminate air pockets where snow can accumulate
- Tail with a quick-attachment system for precise application even while wearing gloves
- Width: 62 mm — format: sold by the metre
A straightforward choice for athletes and competitive ski tourers who already know their equipment and want custom-cut skins with the best glide performance available.
