The La Sportiva Testarossa is a climbing shoe born from the balance between performance and lasting fit. The upper strategically combines synthetic materials and natural leather: the inner linings are present only on the toe and heel, while the central part remains unlined. This construction choice is not random—it allows the area of direct contact with the foot to benefit from the breathability and softness of the leather, while the most stressed areas maintain their shape and precision over time without stretching or deforming excessively.

Construction and on-foot behavior

The hybrid structure allows for a fit that does not stretch uncontrollably with prolonged use, a common problem with entirely leather shoes. At the same time, the unlined central part adapts to the shape of the foot more naturally than fully synthetic uppers, reducing pressure points during long sessions.
