The La Sportiva Otaki is named after the oldest single-edged sword in the Japanese samurai tradition: a sharp, precise weapon, effective even on the smallest targets. This same philosophy translates into a high-performance climbing shoe, designed for those who want real precision on small holds and technical slabs, without sacrificing a supportive structure during the most demanding movements.

Construction and materials

The upper is made of synthetic suede, which offers tactile sensitivity while maintaining shape stability over time. The Vibram XS Grip rubber sole ensures high grip on both limestone and granite, with a soft compound that adapts to the morphology of the holds without losing reactivity. The asymmetric foot structure and downturned profile concentrate power on the toes, improving precision on small footholds.
