DESCRIPTION
The CAMP Photon Lock is a full-size screw-gate carabiner designed for alpine belays and multi-pitch sport routes, where a reliable, lightweight connector capable of smoothly handling moving ropes is needed. Its double-ribbed aluminum construction is at the heart of the design: this geometry optimally distributes stress, achieving an exceptional strength-to-weight ratio without sacrificing the contact section with the rope.
Technology and Geometry
The nose is developed with the proprietary SphereLock geometry, which optimizes gate opening and reduces the risk of accidental openings during maneuvers. The elongated body shape ensures a wide running surface, which is crucial when working with belay systems or managing multiple ropes simultaneously. The screw gate ensures a secure and immediate closure, easy to check even with gloves or in cold conditions.
Why Choose It
- Full-size dimensions: compatible with all standard belay devices
- Double ribbing: high strength with low weight
- SphereLock geometry on the nose for clean and secure openings
- Versatile use: belay, anchor, equipment connection
- Green color for quick identification on the rack
A practical solution for those tackling long routes at altitude who need a belay carabiner that doesn't add unnecessary weight to the system, without compromising certified strength and ease of handling on the wall.
