DESCRIPTION
The Beal Rope Brush is a toothbrush designed specifically for cleaning climbing ropes, a simple but effective tool to extend the life of one of the most important pieces of equipment on the wall. Ropes used outdoors accumulate dirt, dust, and debris that over time degrade the fibers and compromise the performance of the sheath.
How it works
The system of use is straightforward: the brush screws around the rope and by sliding along its entire length — with the rope immersed in water — it removes the dirt trapped in the sheath evenly. The adjustable structure allows it to adapt to different rope diameters, making it compatible with most single, half, and twin ropes on the market.
Why use it regularly
Periodic cleaning is not just about aesthetics: abrasive dirt that accumulates in the sheath accelerates the internal wear of the load-bearing filaments. Using the Rope Brush after sessions in dusty crags or damp environments helps to keep the rope's dynamic properties intact and preserve any water-repellent treatments such as Beal's Dry Cover. Compact and lightweight, it easily stores in any climbing backpack without taking up space.
