Salewa Vega Helmet
Salewa Vega Helmet - Fluo Green / L-XL is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
DESCRIPTION
The Salewa Vega is a climbing helmet built around a Carbon Nano Tech (CNT) shell, a carbon fiber-reinforced polymer that offers a significantly higher strength-to-weight ratio than traditional ABS or EPS helmets. This technology allows for uncompromising protection against repeated impacts and sudden shocks—typical of a day at the crag or on a multi-pitch route—while keeping the overall weight of the helmet down.
Construction and Protection
The CNT structure efficiently absorbs and distributes impact energy, also protecting against lateral blows, often overlooked by helmets with only a rigid shell. The shell's shape is designed to adequately cover the temporal and occipital areas, critical zones in climbing falls.
Fit and Comfort
- Rear adjustment system allows for a precise fit to the head circumference
- Low weight thanks to CNT technology, reducing fatigue during long sessions or demanding approaches
- Compatible with headlamps, thanks to integrated attachment points on the shell
- Ventilation channels ensure adequate airflow even in warm seasons
The Vega is a solid choice for those looking for a sport or trad climbing helmet that doesn't force a choice between lightness, durability, and real protection: three requirements that Carbon Nano Tech successfully balances.
- Climbing
- Mountaineering
