DESCRIPTION
The Salewa Aria is a climbing helmet with a hybrid structure that combines a recycled polycarbonate (PC) outer shell with an injected EPP foam inner core. This combination ensures high impact absorption while keeping the weight to a minimum: a reliable technical solution for sport routes, cragging, or mountaineering.
Construction and protection
Injected EPP foam (expanded polypropylene) is known for its ability to absorb energy efficiently even after repeated impacts, unlike traditional EPS, which degrades after the first hit. The recycled PC shell contributes to the helmet's structural rigidity without adding weight, while the open design with large ventilation openings promotes airflow while climbing, reducing overheating during intense sessions.
