DESCRIPTION
The CT Galaxy is a hybrid-structure helmet designed for those who practice vertical disciplines in alpine environments and beyond: from via ferrata to mountaineering, from rock climbing to ice climbing and canyoning. Its versatility stems from a construction that combines robust protection and everyday portability.
Construction and Protection
The Galaxy's hybrid structure combines an outer ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) shell with an inner EPS (High-Density Expanded Polystyrene) liner. This combination doesn't just absorb vertical impacts: the synergy between the two materials ensures additional protection against lateral impacts, an area often neglected by foam-only helmets. The ABS shell distributes the load over a larger surface before the EPS dissipates it.
Fit and Comfort
- Rear adjustment system to adapt the fit to different head shapes
- Ventilation openings strategically placed to promote air circulation during intense activity
- Compatible with headlamps and snow goggles thanks to integrated clips
- Low weight for a hybrid helmet, suitable for long climbs or mountain excursions
The Galaxy complies with EN 12492 standards for mountaineering, offering a reliable reference for those seeking a single helmet for multiple technical contexts without having to switch gear between disciplines.
