DESCRIPTION
The Black Diamond Half Dome is a hybrid construction climbing helmet, designed for those seeking reliable protection on rock, whether at the crag or in an alpine environment, without sacrificing extended comfort during outings. The structure combines an ABS outer shell with an EPS inner liner, offering solid protection against both direct impacts and falling rocks.
Adjustment System and Fit
The updated design introduces a redesigned low-profile suspension system, which brings the helmet closer to the head, improving overall stability and reducing the "inverted hat" effect typical of older models. The shell can be adjusted with one hand via a rear dial, allowing for tightening or loosening the fit even with gloves on. The headlamp attachment clips have been optimized to be more intuitive and less bulky, without compromising their hold.
Technical Features
- Hybrid construction: ABS shell + EPS liner
- CE EN 12492 and UIAA 106 certification
- Low weight suitable for versatile use at crags and classic alpinism
- Integrated compatibility with front and rear clip-on headlamps
- Available in multiple sizes for a precise fit
It is a solid choice for those tackling sport routes, multi-pitches, or technical approaches who want a helmet with years of development behind it, now updated in the details that truly matter for everyday use.
