DESCRIPTION
CAMP Velvet Chalk is an ultra-fine powdered chalk, developed for those who require maximum control in the distribution of magnesium carbonate on their fingers. Its particularly fine texture ensures uniform and homogeneous coverage across the entire hand surface, eliminating lumps and irregular distribution points typical of coarser-grained powders.
Technical Performance
Thanks to its velvety consistency – hence its name – Velvet Chalk adheres precisely to fingerprints and fingertips, optimizing the friction coefficient on resin holds, limestone rock, and granite. The powder distributes in thin, compact layers, allowing for quick and clean chalking without excessive residue. This aspect is particularly relevant in indoor bouldering sessions, where chalk accumulation on holds is a critical factor.
When to use it
Velvet Chalk is especially suitable for on-sight and redpoint attempts, where direct tactile sensation with the hold is crucial. The fineness of the powder promotes more precise feedback between fingers and hold, reducing the perceived thickness of the chalk layer. The 450 g package ensures prolonged autonomy, suitable for both gym and crag use.
