Black Diamond Padded Gear Sling
Black Diamond Padded Gear Sling - Purple is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
DESCRIPTION
The Black Diamond Padded Gear Sling is the go-to gear sling for those who want to keep their rack always at hand during belays, traverses, or sport climbing outings. Compared to a simple webbing, the integrated padding distributes the weight of the equipment on the shoulder, reducing pressure even when the sling is loaded with cams, nuts, and quickdraws.
Construction and Materials
The sling is made of abrasion-resistant nylon, with a large padded area that sits on the trapezius and shoulder. The width of the sling is designed to ensure stability even with heavy loads, preventing gear from slipping during movement. The length is adjustable via a buckle system, to adapt to different body types and layers of clothing, including winter wear.
Practical Use
- Ideal for carrying a full rack on your shoulder during approaches or between belays
- Compatible with locking carabiners, cams, and quickdraws thanks to the numerous attachment points along the body of the sling
- Can be used in combination with a harness to free up gear loops and improve gear management on long routes
- Its compact profile makes it easily storable in a backpack during transfers
A simple and effective solution for those seeking order and comfort in managing technical gear, without sacrificing the typical robustness of the Black Diamond brand.
