DESCRIPTION
The Petzl OK Screw Lock is an aluminum oval locking carabiner designed for use with wide-section devices: its symmetrical shape allows pulleys, locking devices, and locking pulleys to be perfectly centered, preventing lateral shifts that could compromise their efficiency during rope work.
Geometry and compatibility
Unlike D-shaped carabiners, the oval profile distributes the load evenly on both sides of the body, making the OK ideal for rescue, self-rescue, and multi-pulley system installations. This feature makes it a benchmark tool in rope work and technical vertical operations, as well as in ice progression with dedicated screws and tools.
Locking mechanism and certifications
- SCREW-LOCK locking system (manual screw nut): reliable safety with intentional opening
- Aluminum body for a low weight without compromising structural strength
- CE EN 12275 (type O – oval) and UIAA certified
