DESCRIPTION
The Petzl Djinn Curvo is a screwgate carabiner designed specifically for sport climbing, where simplicity and speed of clipping make a difference on a route. Its optimized geometry offers a large contact area with both the rope and the anchor, promoting smooth rope glide during a fall and reducing long-term wear.
Geometry and Handling
The curved gate is the distinctive feature of this carabiner: the curve of the gate allows it to be opened and the rope inserted with one hand, even in awkward positions or with gloves. The generous body size ensures easy handling, making every clip quick and secure even when pumped.
Technical Data
- Aluminum body for a good balance between strength and low weight
- Major axis strength: 25 kN, minor axis 8 kN, with open gate 9 kN
- Automatic locking screwgate for safety at belays and during abseiling maneuvers
- CE EN 12275 and UIAA certifications
- Violet color for quick identification in the kit
Ideal as a belay or anchor quickdraw carabiner for those who regularly climb sport routes: the design balances protection, rope glide, and operational speed without compromise.
