DESCRIPTION
The Petzl TANGA is a positioning ring designed to keep the connector correctly oriented during use, preventing unwanted rotations that could compromise the optimal loading of the locking carabiner. It is a simple but functional accessory, suitable for both mountaineering and rope access installations for work at height.
Function and compatibility
The TANGA ring fits onto the connector, locking its position relative to the anchor point or harness, ensuring that the load always acts on the longitudinal axis of the locking carabiner—that is, in the direction of maximum strength. This is particularly useful in situations where the connector tends to rotate or be loaded crosswise, significantly reducing its structural strength.
Package contents
- Pack of 10 TANGA rings, ideal for equipping multiple anchor points or for multiple replacements
- Compatible with the standard range of Petzl connectors (check specific compatibility with the connector in use)
- Lightweight and durable material, designed to not add significant weight to the system
Suitable for mountain guides, instructors, rescue technicians, and anyone who systematically uses rope access systems, the TANGA is a technical detail that improves the safety and repeatability of the connection system without complicating its setup.
