DESCRIPTION
The Kong Tango is a double-lever locking carabiner designed for those seeking a reliable and quick locking system in climbing situations, whether on rock, at a crag, or in alpine environments. The opening mechanism requires two simultaneous actions: pressing the rear lever with the palm of the hand and pulling the front lever at the same time, a combination that virtually eliminates the risk of accidental opening during use.
Construction and safety
The body is made of high-strength aluminum, which guarantees a good balance between lightness and structural robustness. The rear lever is shielded and protected by a specific geometric shape of the carabiner: this prevents lateral pressures — caused by rubbing against the wall or contact with the harness — from unintentionally triggering the opening. A design detail that makes a difference in situations where the carabiner works dynamically.
