DESCRIPTION
The Petzl Express 12 cm is a quickdraw sling designed for use at the crag and for progression on sport routes, where maneuverability and reliability under load are absolute priorities. With a length of 12 cm, it perfectly fits closely spaced bolts without generating excessive extension.
Construction and Technical Performance
The sling is made of ergonomically shaped webbing, which facilitates one-handed grip even with gloves or in uncomfortable positions on the wall. The STRING textile protector serves a dual function: it keeps the lower carabiner correctly oriented for quick clipping to the protection, and it reduces abrasion on the webbing at the contact point with the metal quickdraw, increasing its longevity. The weight/strength ratio is optimized for those who want to reduce the overall weight of their equipment without compromising CE-certified safety margins.
Recommended Use
- Progression on sport climbing routes with closely spaced bolts
- Working sessions where the quickdraw is clipped and unclipped repeatedly
- Situations where stable carabiner orientation reduces clipping time and the risk of errors
The 12 cm length makes it the shortest size in the Express range, suitable for sections of the wall where limiting the quickdraw is essential for fall control.
