DESCRIPTION
The Kong Ovalone Alu Screw Sleeve Red is an oval aluminum locking carabiner designed for those working with mobile protection systems, pulleys, and connectors that require stability and proper load centering. The oval shape has been redesigned compared to traditional geometry: the profile is wider and perfectly symmetrical, so that the attached devices are optimally positioned even when they are not perfectly aligned with the axis of the connector.
Technical features
The closure is provided by a screw-lock threaded sleeve system, which guarantees reliable manual locking that can be checked at a glance. The Keylock system eliminates the locking tooth on the carabiner nose, reducing the risk of accidental hooking on webbing, ropes, and anchors. The body is constructed entirely from high-strength aluminum, with a development and production process completely in-house at Kong, ensuring rigorous quality control at every stage of manufacturing.
When to use it
It is the right choice for setting up self-belay systems on equipped via ferratas, building anchors with balanced load distribution, or connecting pulleys and energy absorbers in vertical rescue configurations.
