DESCRIPTION
The Kong Ferrata Auto Block is a lightweight aluminum alloy locking carabiner designed for via ferrata use and professional applications, where locking security and ease of handling even while wearing gloves are non-negotiable requirements.
Locking system and geometry
The 3-movement Auto Block sleeve ensures that the gate automatically locks when released, eliminating the risk of accidental opening during progression. The Keylock system on the gate tip removes the traditional hook, drastically reducing accidental snagging on webbing, rings, and anchor points. The carefully designed body offers a large 26 mm opening, one of the widest in its class, facilitating quick connection to progression cords, lanyards, and fixed points even when fatigued or in awkward positions.
