DESCRIPTION
The Beal Pulp Quickdraw 11 cm is a sport climbing quickdraw composed of two wire locking carabiners, chosen to reduce the overall weight without compromising performance. The configuration features the SPACE WIRE carabiner in the upper position, dedicated to anchoring on the protection, and the COSMO WIRE in the lower position, characterized by an ergonomic shape that simplifies rope insertion during progression, even in conditions of advanced pump or awkward positions.
Safety technologies
The quickdraw integrates the RUBBINER system, a technical solution that locks the lower carabiner inside the loop, preventing unwanted rotations. This detail is crucial to prevent the COSMO WIRE from positioning itself with the gate side facing the rope — one of the most common causes of accidental opening during a fall. The durable nylon loop keeps the two carabiners correctly oriented throughout the duration of use.
Technical features
- Quickdraw length: 11 cm
- Upper carabiner: SPACE WIRE (wire, straight)
- Lower carabiner: COSMO WIRE (wire, ergonomic shape)
- RUBBINER system for locking the lower carabiner's orientation
- Intended use: sport climbing on crags and indoors
The 11 cm length makes it suitable for bolt routes with closely spaced bolts, where a short quickdraw reduces the fall factor and improves rope management along the route.
