Black Diamond Camalot Z4 Climbing Cam - Size 0.4
Black Diamond Camalot Z4 Climbing Cam - Size 0.4 - Green is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
DESCRIPTION
The Black Diamond Camalot Z4 represents the evolution of single-stem cams, introduced with the proprietary RigidFlex technology: the stem behaves rigidly during placement — ensuring precision and control when setting — and becomes flexible when climbing past the protection point, reducing the risk of accidental dislodgement and maintaining stable anchoring under load.
Technology and Construction
The single-stem geometry simplifies one-handed operation during placement, even in aerial situations or on hard-to-reach protection. The aluminum alloy lobes offer a wide expansion range and reliable grip on parallel or slightly flared cracks. The trigger is designed for precise action, reducing the effort required even with tired fingers.
Technical Data — Size 0.4
- Expansion Range: 8.9 – 13.1 mm
- Holding Strength: 8 kN
- Weight: 77 g
- Stem: RigidFlex single-stem technology
- Size Identification Color: grey
- Certifications: CE / UIAA
The 0.4 size is ideal for thin cracks, typical of sport climbing routes on crags or technical cracks in alpine environments. Thanks to its low weight and reliable anchoring, the Camalot Z4 is a solid choice for those who want lightweight protection without compromising performance.
