DESCRIPTION
Jetboil's 450g Jetfuel cartridges are high-performance gas canisters designed for camping and trekking enthusiasts who demand reliability in variable weather conditions. The blend is formulated with 73% isobutane, 25% propane, and 2% butane: a composition engineered to ensure consistent combustion at high altitudes and in harsh temperatures, where standard butane-based cartridges tend to lose pressure.
Performance and Compatibility
The high percentage of isobutane ensures sustained vapor pressure even below freezing, reducing the flame drop-off typical of winter or alpine excursions. The propane in the blend intervenes in extremely cold conditions, maintaining a steady gas flow until the cartridge is empty. The result is optimized consumption, allowing you to cook more meals with the same amount of gas compared to less efficient blends.
Technical Standards and Compatibility
- Capacity: 450g of gas
- Valve compliant with EN417 standard
- Compatible with all stoves featuring a standard screw-on connection, not just Jetboil systems
- Suitable for hiking, mountaineering, bikepacking, and camping in demanding conditions
EN417 compliance guarantees safety and interoperability with the vast majority of outdoor stoves on the market, making this cartridge a versatile choice even for those using equipment from different brands.
