DESCRIPTION
The Salewa Explorer 12L is a compact backpack designed for children getting into trekking and day hikes. With its 12-liter capacity, it offers just the right amount of space to carry water, snacks, and essentials without weighing down the wearer.
Construction and materials
The body is made of ripstop polyester, a tear-resistant fabric thanks to its reinforced grid weave, ideal for withstanding daily use and unexpected incidents on the trail. The PFAS-free DWR finish ensures good light water repellency without resorting to persistent chemicals, a thoughtful choice from an environmental perspective as well.
Comfort and organization
The back panel uses the Dry Back Contact system, which incorporates a padded EVA panel to cushion the load and promote air circulation on the child's back during longer walks. As for the internal organization:
- Main pocket with zip for essential items
- Two side pockets for water bottles or snacks within easy reach
- Reflective print for greater visibility in low-light conditions
