DESCRIPTION
The Pieps Jetforce BT Pack 55 L is a 55-liter avalanche airbag backpack designed for demanding high-mountain outings where it is necessary to carry complete equipment without sacrificing active avalanche protection. The updated version introduces Bluetooth connectivity, which allows you to manage and monitor the system directly via the dedicated app.
Jetforce System: electric fan instead of a cartridge
Unlike traditional compressed gas systems, Jetforce uses a high-speed electric fan to inflate the airbag bag by drawing directly from the atmospheric air. This approach eliminates dependence on disposable cartridges and allows you to deploy the system multiple times on a single charge, a real advantage in the event of pre-outing testing or accidental activation. The bag inflates in about 3 seconds and, once deployed, the fan actively maintains the internal pressure for the entire duration of the avalanche event.
Main technical features
- Total capacity: 55 liters, with a large main compartment and organized pockets for ski touring equipment
- Lithium-ion battery rechargeable via USB-C, approved for air travel
- Bluetooth connectivity for diagnostics and firmware updates via the Pieps app
- Activation system with an ergonomic handle accessible with both hands
- Back panel and shoulder straps compatible with the adjustment system to adapt to different body types
- Load-bearing structure optimized for carrying skis and technical equipment
The combination of large volume and a rechargeable airbag system makes this backpack particularly suitable for multi-day tours, expeditions, or outings in remote areas where it is not possible to recharge or replace a cartridge.
