DESCRIPTION
The Salewa Wildfire 2 is a women's approach shoe designed for those who tackle technical trails and approaches to rock faces, where foot precision is as crucial as protection. The upper is made from recycled synthetic material, with a construction that balances durability and breathability, while the inner lining is PFC-free, eliminating perfluorinated substances without compromising performance.
Protection and structure
The 360° TPU protective rand runs around the entire circumference of the shoe, forming a continuous shield against gravel, debris, and lateral impacts on rough terrain. This solution is particularly useful when scrambling over scree slopes or navigating mixed trail and rock sections, where feet are exposed to unpredictable impacts.
Sole and grip
The sole is made by Pomoca® with a butyl compound, a technical choice that prioritizes tactile sensitivity over stiffness: the foot can feel the contours of the rock and utilize micro-fissures and minimal footholds with greater control. The grip is effective on both dry granite and wet surfaces, covering the variable conditions typical of alpine approaches.
