DESCRIPTION
The Atomic Backland 85 W is the all-round women's ski from the Backland range: lightweight, versatile across the entire mountain and safe on descents. It is suitable for everyone from beginners to expert skiers.
Construction
It reinterprets the original Backland W with a low-impact design: poplar wood, less resin and fiberglass, and low-impact sidewalls reduce CO₂ emissions by 30% compared to the 2021 Backland 85. The All-Terrain profile adds torsional stiffness for better climbing and grip on hard snow, while the wide and tapered HRZN 3D tip improves float in fresh snow and maneuverability in variable snow. Light Woodcore made of poplar and fiberglass layers.

Available lengths: 149, 157 cm. Atomic recommendations for ski touring: all-round skis approximately 5 cm shorter than your height, fast & light skis 5 to 10 cm shorter, freeride touring skis equal to your height or up to 5 cm longer. The shorter the ski, the more agile it is when turning; the longer the ski, the more stable it is and the better it floats.
