The Atomic Backland 88 W is a women's ski touring ski designed for those who do not want to compromise between lightness on the ascent and performance on the descent. With a tip width of 88 mm, it falls into the all-mountain touring category, capable of handling fresh snow, open terrain, and groomed slopes with the same effectiveness.
Construction and sustainability
Atomic has redesigned this ski starting from a scientific analysis of the product's life cycle: the result is a 30% reduction in CO₂ equivalent emissions related to materials, calculated in comparison to the 2021 Backland 85 model. This is not a greenwashing figure: it derives from concrete choices on materials and production processes, without sacrificing the technical characteristics that define the ski.

- Lightweight construction specific to the female profile, with a flex distribution adapted to an average body weight lower than unisex models

Fit
Available lengths: 162 cm. Atomic's recommendations for ski touring: all-round skis about 5 cm shorter than your height, fast & light skis 5 to 10 cm shorter, freeride touring skis equal to your height or up to 5 cm longer. The shorter it is, the more agile it is in turning; the longer it is, the more stable and better it floats.
