Petzl Spatha Knife
Petzl Spatha Knife - Yellow is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
DESCRIPTION
The Petzl Spatha is a folding-blade knife specifically designed for use on a rock face: it attaches directly to the harness via a carabiner-compatible hole, remaining always within reach without being cumbersome.
Blade and Wall Use
The blade's profile is optimized for cutting ropes, cords, and slings, with a geometry that allows for a clean cut even on braided or wet materials. It opens via a serrated thumb wheel on the side, which can be easily operated even when wearing climbing gloves or in cold conditions.
Technical Specifications
- Folding blade with a serrated profile optimized for ropes and technical fabrics
- Serrated thumb wheel for one-handed opening, compatible with glove use
- Carabiner hole integrated into the handle for direct attachment to the harness
- Blade locking mechanism for safety during transport
- Compact structure and low weight, suitable for every outing without adding bulk to the kit
The Spatha is an active safety tool: in emergency situations, such as needing to quickly free a stuck rope or cut a loaded cord, the speed of extraction and opening can make all the difference. Standard equipment for regular climbers, both at the crag and in the mountains.
