DESCRIPTION
The Fixe Vignemale 8.0 mm is a dual-use climbing rope, certified for use as both a half rope (½) and a twin rope (∞), designed for those tackling challenging terrain where equipment weight can make a difference. With a length of 60 meters and a slim diameter of 8.0 mm, it is ideal for mountaineering, ice climbing, mixed routes, and long ascents.
Lightweight and smooth handling
The most significant feature of the Vignemale is its exceptionally low linear weight of just 41 g/m, which ensures freedom of movement and reduces fatigue on prolonged outings. It runs smoothly through quickdraws and belay devices, with minimal perceived friction even on long pitches and routes with varying rope directions—a crucial feature when climbing discontinuous routes or with widely spaced protection.
