DESCRIPTION
The Fixe Siurana 9.6 mm is a dynamic sport climbing rope designed for those who regularly frequent equipped walls. With a diameter of 9.6 mm and a length of 60 meters, it falls into the intermediate range between lightness and robustness: manageable enough for intensive single-pitch sessions, yet durable enough to withstand repeated falls during route work.
Construction and technical performance
The rope features a treated sheath construction to reduce moisture absorption and increase abrasion resistance on limestone and the abrasive rocks typical of sport climbing crags — it's no coincidence the name recalls Siurana, one of Catalonia's most technical sport climbing areas. The certified fall factor and UIAA fall rating ensure an adequate safety margin even in the most demanding sessions, where the rope is repeatedly stressed at the same quickdraw points.
Who is it suitable for?
- Single-pitch crag sessions with frequent and repeated falls
- On-sight climbing on mid-to-high difficulty sport routes
- Daily use in the gym for top-roping and lower-offs
- Those seeking a 9.6 mm diameter as a compromise between handling and longevity
The red color version facilitates immediate recognition of the rope's center in the field, a useful detail during lowering and managing rope lengths while climbing.
