DESCRIPTION
The CAMP Elektra 9.2 is an 80-meter dynamic rope with a 9.2 mm diameter, designed for frequent sport climbing enthusiasts seeking the best balance between low weight and sheath longevity. Weighing only 57 g/m, it falls into the ultralight rope category without sacrificing wear resistance during repeated sessions.
Construction and Certifications
The Elektra is certified as a single, half, and twin rope, offering versatility that makes it suitable for multi-pitch routes or rappelling setups. The sheath construction is optimized to resist abrasion on limestone and conglomerate, ensuring superior durability compared to ropes of similar diameter. The sheath's dry treatment protects the fibers from moisture, maintaining consistent dynamic properties even in adverse weather conditions.
Handling and Manageability
- Untwisted Package coiling system: the rope uncoils without twisting, ready for immediate use straight from the package
- 9.2 mm diameter for smooth gliding through quickdraws
- Orange color for quick identification of the rope's middle on the wall
- 80 m length, ideal for crags with long routes or to reduce queues in crowded sectors
Its high glide and low weight make the Elektra 9.2 particularly suitable for intensive crag days, where numerous pitches are climbed and rope management on the ground makes a difference to the quality of the session.
