DESCRIPTION
Climbing ropes and harnesses are technical pieces of equipment prone to the accumulation of dirt, dust, and impurities that, over time, accelerate fiber abrasion and reduce the equipment's useful life. The 1-liter Beal Rope Cleaner is a specific detergent formulated for the deep cleaning of ropes and harnesses made from technical materials, designed to preserve their mechanical performance over the long term.
Why regular maintenance is essential
Dynamic ropes and harnesses have a certified maximum lifespan of ten years, but this limit is strictly dependent on the care they receive. Abrasive particles—sand, rock dust, chalk residue—penetrate between the fibers of the core and the sheath, causing internal wear that is often invisible but progressive. Regular cleaning with a suitable detergent removes these impurities before they compromise the rope's structural integrity.
Use and compatibility
- Gentle on the synthetic fibers (nylon, polyester) that make up ropes and harnesses
- 1-liter size, ideal for continuous use throughout the season
- Compatible with hand washing or machine washing at low temperatures
- Does not alter the rope's dynamic properties or dry treatment
Using a non-specific detergent—such as common household detergents—risks damaging the protective coatings and altering the flexibility of the fibers. Beal Rope Cleaner guarantees effective cleaning without compromising the equipment's technical characteristics.
