DESCRIPTION
The Beal Joker 9.1mm Unicore DRY Cover is one of the most versatile ropes on the market: certified for single, half, and twin rope use, it covers a wide range of applications without requiring multiple ropes to be carried. With a diameter of 9.1 mm and a length of 60 metres, it balances lightness and handling without compromising safety performance.
Technology and construction
Beal's Unicore construction fuses the outer sheath to the inner core through a heat-bonding process, eliminating sheath slippage even in the event of an accidental cut. The DRY Cover treatment waterproofs the fibres of the outer sheath, reducing water absorption and preserving performance in snow, ice, or rain. Thanks to these features, the rope maintains softness and smooth movement through draws even after intensive use.
Areas of use
- Sport climbing and cragging with a single rope
- Multi-pitch routes and classic mountaineering in half or twin rope
- Mixed terrain, ridges, and alpine environments where versatility is a priority
For those who visit different environments throughout the season, the Joker 9.1mm eliminates the need to choose between different specialised ropes: a practical solution that reduces the total weight of the equipment and simplifies logistics on the wall.
