The Beal Ice Line 8.1mm Unicore Golden DRY is an 8.1 mm diameter ice and mixed climbing rope, designed for those seeking maximum performance in alpine and winter conditions. Technology and construction
At the heart of this rope is Beal's proprietary UNICORE technology, which bonds the outer sheath to the inner core during production. This means that even if the sheath is accidentally cut, the core remains attached and does not slide inside, ensuring a higher level of safety compared to traditional ropes. The Golden DRY treatment protects both the sheath and the core from water absorption and ice build-up, keeping the rope soft and manageable even at sub-zero temperatures.
