DESCRIPTION
The Beal ICE Line 8.1mm is a dynamic ice and mixed climbing rope designed for those seeking the best in terms of lightness and rope management on technical terrain. With a diameter of just 8.1 mm and a length of 60 meters, it represents a refined tool for ice alpinism and icefalls.
Technical features
The ICE Line can be used both as a half rope and as a twin rope, combining the functional versatility of both categories in a single tool. The very low impact force reduces stress on protection, harness, and body in the event of a fall, a feature that is particularly valuable on ice where protection has an inherently more delicate hold compared to rock.
Beal has integrated the UNICORE technology, which bonds the sheath to the core along the entire length of the rope. This system eliminates the risk of sheath slippage — a critical phenomenon when descending or when using locking devices — and increases the overall durability of the rope even after intensive use.
