DESCRIPTION
The CAMP Escape is a climbing and mountaineering harness that places Smart Webbing Technology at the heart of its construction. This technology combines polyester webbing with monofilament fiber to create a three-dimensional mesh structure that distributes the load evenly across the entire surface of the waist belt and leg loops, eliminating localized pressure points even during prolonged hanging.
Construction and materials
The Escape's geometry is designed to adapt to different body shapes without sacrificing stability: the adjustable leg loops with quick release allow the harness to be put on and taken off directly with crampons on, a decisive feature in mountaineering contexts. The open structure ensures active ventilation, reducing discomfort in warm periods or during intense exertion. When not worn, the harness compacts into a small volume, making it compatible with lightweight technical backpacks.
Versatility and fields of use
- Suitable for sport and rock climbing, classic mountaineering and demanding via ferratas
- Its light weight makes it a concrete choice for fast alpine excursions where every gram counts
- The rigid gear loops maintain their shape even with numerous quickdraws or ice screws attached
- CE EN 12277 certification as a Type C harness
The Escape is the answer for those looking for a single all-season harness: technical enough for mountaineering, comfortable enough for multi-pitch crag sessions.
