DESCRIPTION
The Beal Rookie is a harness designed specifically for children and young teenagers getting into climbing, both in the gym and at the crag. Its design addresses a practical need: to grow with the young climber without having to change equipment every season.
Technology and fit
The Dynamic-Fit system (licensed by Black Diamond) allows for quick and precise adjustment of both the waist and leg loops, adapting to different body types and changes in size over time. The Web Core technology is a key feature of the webbing structure: a mesh core distributes pressure evenly during falls and hanging belays, ensuring superior comfort compared to traditional full-webbing harnesses.
Main features
- Lightweight to avoid tiring first-time climbers
- Quick adjustment designed to be easily managed by adults assisting children
- Two gear loops for carrying the bare essentials
- Suitable for both indoor climbing and crag climbing
- Construction compliant with EN standards for use in vertical environments
For a parent or instructor, the Rookie is a reliable solution: it offers certified safety, can be put on and adjusted in a few seconds, and grows with the child over time without compromising adaptability or protection.
