DESCRIPTION
The SALEWA Fanes Sarner hybrid down jacket is born from the combination of two materials with very different characteristics, combined following the logic of body mapping: the core body (chest and back) is insulated with 750 fill power duck down padding, 90% down / 10% feather ratio, while the sleeves adopt the Sarner construction in 100% recycled wool, a material that manages moisture better and maintains thermal properties even when wet.
A construction logic geared towards performance
The choice to concentrate down on areas with greater heat dispersion and to use wool on the sleeves — more exposed to rubbing and perspiration during movement — is not aesthetic but functional. The result is a garment that remains light and compressible like a classic down jacket, without sacrificing resistance and breathability in the most stressed areas. The hybrid construction also translates into greater abrasion resistance compared to traditional down jackets, making it suitable for use with a backpack and harness.
Versatility between approach and hut
